JC Tampere was founded in 1956. We are the largest and the oldest continuous chapter in Finland with over 100 members and 72 Senators.
We are an organisation of young professionals between the ages of 18 and 40.
Our goal is to provide members with outstanding personal development opportunities in our own relaxed way in the Tampere Region.
JC Tampere is the most internationally awarded chapter in Finland; here are some examples of our awards from recent history.

JC Tampere organised the JCI European Conference in 1980 and was part of the team that organised the JCI European Conference in 2001. We also organised the National Conferences in 1964, 1976, 1992 and 2006.
Five JC Tampere members have acted as JCI National President of Finland.
We have two Honour members. The first is Genichi ”Gary” Nagao, who was JCI European Conference Chairman in 1980 at Tampere and JCI World President in 1981. The second is Masakatu Maeda, who was JC Asahikawa (Japan) president in 1985 and started the twinning program between JC Tampere and JC Asahikawa.
In year 2006, JC Tampere took on the responsibility of arranging the JCI Finland National election conference with the theme “Huippukokous” or “Top Summit”. The conference was a huge success with over 1000 participants.
In 2006 we celebrated our 50th anniversary.
